An impressive military career

Funnell's impressive public service career spans over 25 years, starting in 1996 at the Ministry of Defence. During her time with us, she's worked on a wide range of defense policy issues. She has also held notable positions, including serving as a private secretary to the Minister of Defence and working in the Australian Department of Defence. Funnell has represented New Zealand at international defense and transport forums, promoting collaboration and exchanging expertise.

Education

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies from the University of Otago
Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the Australian National University.
