The High Mobility Engineer Excavator (Combat Tractor) is a highly mobile excavator with increased protection designed to survive on the modern battlefield.

The High Mobility Engineer Excavator (HMEE) is used for engineer support to civil aid, route maintenance and general engineering tasks.

With a governed top speed on the open road of 70km per hour, a great cross country capability, and additional protection for the operators, the HMEE can and does operate alongside the NZLAV.
