The New Zealand Defence Force support to Vanuatu following the magnitude 7.3 earthquake that struck Vanuatu, 31 km from Port Vila on the 17th December 2024.

A Royal New Zealand Air Force P-8A Poseidon, which provides our Airborne Surveillance and Response is due to fly above Vanuatu this morning, to help assess the damage caused by the earthquake.
