Season two of the New Zealand Defence Force's (NZDF) podcast, Unclassified, showcases more stories from personnel on the frontline of some of the NZDF’s most memorable responses.
Every day, members of the NZDF achieve extraordinary things and therefore have incredible stories from their time with the Royal New Zealand Navy, New Zealand Army and Royal New Zealand Air Force.
In this season of Unclassified, sailors, soldiers and aviators share their experiences about everything from salvos of rockets and volcanic eruptions, to a daring medevac from Antarctica and a high seas rescue. We hear what it was like on the ground during the hectic evacuations from Kabul during Operation Kōkako, and what some of the first on the scene in the Hawke's Bay witnessed following Cyclone Gabrielle.
Personnel share their stories of service and sacrifice, of what it means to them to put their training into practice and how they cope with uncertainty during their careers.
Episodes for season two will be dropping weekly on Wednesdays, so subscribe and listen now wherever you get your podcasts.
