Red Sea deployment extension

The Government has announced the extension of the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) deployment to protect Red Sea shipping.

Six members of the NZDF are currently deployed to coalition headquarters working to uphold maritime security in the Red Sea.

The deployment is mandated to conclude on 31 January 2025.
