Assisted departure flights continue from New Caledonia
A sixth Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) flight is en route today to bring more New Zealanders and approved foreign nationals from New Caledonia to New Zealand, following recent unrest in the South Pacific French territory.

This follows flights by RNZAF C-130H (NZ) Hercules aircraft over the weekend.
On Saturday, a Hercules flew into New Caledonia, bringing 57 passengers back to Auckland, while on on Sunday, another flight brought another 60 passengers to Auckland.
The RNZAF C-130H Hercules flew to New Caledonia again this morning, and is scheduled to arrive back in New Zealand this evening.
The New Zealand Defence Force has been working with officials on the arrangements for the assisted departure flights, with a final flight being planned for tomorrow.
