United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA)
Personnel: Up to 1
The United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali (established in 2013) is an international effort that focuses on ensuring security, stabilisation, the protection of civilians, and the promotion of human rights. MINUSMA also has an important role in monitoring the peace process. A New Zealand Defence Force officer will fill a key intelligence leadership role in the mission for a 12 month period from 25 March 2018. New Zealand’s participation in MINUSMA demonstrates New Zealand’s commitment to international peace and security, and our efforts to address humanitarian concerns.
