Singaporean Defence Chief Visiting New Zealand

The Chief of Defence Force of the Singapore Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Perry Lim, today began a four-day visit hosted by the New Zealand Defence Force.

“Singapore is a long-standing defence and security partner of New Zealand’s and it is a pleasure to welcome LTGEN Lim to the country,” says the Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant General Tim Keating. 

A Ceremony of Welcome will be held at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park tomorrow, followed by discussions with LTGEN Keating and Secretary of Defence Helene Quilter.  He will also call on Defence Minister Gerry Brownlee.

LTGEN Lim will also visit Linton Camp and RNZAF Base Ohakea during his visit. 

“I look forward to hosting my counterpart from Singapore and continuing to advance our defence relationship,” said LTGEN Keating.
